Im studying on the distance delta right now. So yep, there are certainly some options allowing flexibility. Google distance delta and read on their website.

Thanks.

Yeah, I'm looking for more of distance DELTA.

Any specific recommendations for schools to do it through?

Im just doing module 1. Thats a 3 month course delivered via distance learning with two 90 minute exams on language awareness / grammar / text and materials analysis tasks. That part doesn't need to be done through a school and I have paid 599 to do this on the distance delta program which is done with International House and the BC.

The teaching practicum needs to be done 'in school', but I cant comment on where or when that should be done. In all honesty, I just want to get the first module done and decide later on my next steps.

I dont know if Ill do the practical part, and I may not finish the whole course. At the end of the day, I think this module isnt cost-prohibitive, I have a time window in which I can study and I think passing module 1 of the delta is still likely to be a useful addition to my resume. Its certainly better than me wasting the next 3 months and not really adding anything substantial to my qualifications.

Thank you, tttompatz for that breakdown of the options for pursuing a teaching career. I've been researching different paths and what you have written is a very concise reference for evaluating each of the various options.
