| Bat Girl be related to Lovechild? Sure seems like some of the same logic. Or anti-logic! |

I was only in Japan for a year, and I have seen a fair few men wacking of in public, standing right next to girls, staring at them and such. One guy was doing it, and no body even glanced at him, the girl was even with her boyfriend and he didn't do a thing. Another incident was on a train, a young guy was running up and down the carriage with his thing out touch it and such, everybody was red and a shamed, but nobody said anything, they just looked down, I had a bit of a giggle I couldn't help it, but I think the Japanese were a shamed as it was in front of a foreigner. That's the feeling I got any ways...
Even though I'm a guy, I have been touched on trains too! Really! By women! One woman even tricked me into taking the wrong train (as my Japanese isn't very good, but her English was) and tried to take me to her home town! And another time an older lady actually grabbed my arm and tried to drag me up some dark stairs! I kinda laugh at these incidents, but I can only imagine the situations women can get into in Japan, when this kind of behaviour is almost exceptable. |

You have got to be kidding! This is a serious subject you shouldn't make a joke out of it! |

I got wan*ed at last week -- an old guy who unzipped, started playing with himself and said to me, Japanese chin-chin? I couldn't actually see much of the chin-chin as it was a tad small...but I smacked him around the head anyway. His face was a picture, and I continued on my way chuckling to myself. Bless him, I think he wanted me to scream... |

That was really dangerous! I heard of one time a woman hit a man in a subway for touching her. The man followed the woman off the train and hit her so hard, she fell to the floor unconscious.
Maybe the best solution is to just ignore the guy and walk away. |

I'd say the best thing top do is tell the train staff. I saw one oyaji get wrestled to the ground after he attmepted to escape after groping a young OL in Shinjuku station a while back.
Those young uniformed guys you see during rush hour are also there to maintain security.
I left just as the police took over. I'd say buddy was proably in for criminal charges and an automatic loss of his job.
Japanese companies are keen to get rid of older employees so what an ideal opportunity for them. They don't have to pay pension beenfits or severance is cases like these either.
To the guys I'd be careful on crowded trains best to avoid getting too close to any young OL's no matter which dirrection the crowd pushes you.
As if riding the rush hour trains wasn't stressfull enough! |

So true! I don't live in Tokyo anymore! But sometimes during rush hour I would be up against some woman so hard, I was having trouble breathing. And were do you put your hands?
I bet sometimes a guy completely by accident has touched a woman and the woman took it wrong.
That is why I can't understand why anyone complains about being touched while riding the train during rush hour! Sardins has more room! |

do you think there is an area of Japan where these things take place?
My vote goes to Juso, Osaka!
This afternoon, I just experienced my second Japanese skebe encounter...
This guy followed me to my apartment and tried to look up my skirt while I went up the stairs. I confronted him, after he learned I didn't live by myself because I lied to him. He apologized and left.
I hope I don't run into him again.
The first time, I wasn't even alone. I was walking with Mishark (from here) and this guy was following us by the river. He even cornered us into what seemed like an abandoned neighbourhood. Mishark's reaction was to curse at him.. he finally stopped following us when we went into a crowded video store. Last time, we go for walks. |

| my wife has joked about Juso. She says it must be the dirtiest part of Osaka (in terms of the water trade). I am surprised you live there, but I guess you didn`t know that before you moved there. |

| Juso is a dive. No a place you would want to live. |
