The only thing I care about is the fact that prices haven't risen at all since I've been here. Back home, prices have gone berserk. Forget about saving money at home as inflation is wiping out your savings. Just stay here in Japan. |
Not sure what the GBP was at in the summer of 2002, but back then (when I came to Japan the $ CDN was at 76. So if the pound was at 150 then, I'd say you could whine some more with us. |

| Does anyone know the future of the yen (well for the next few months) I found a website that said that it might be 108 on the american dollar in July...but I dont know if that is true..does anyone know? We are still sitting on money and hope to exchange it in America when we go back....I just dont want to lose several hundred dollars... |

You are asking the impossible. No one can tell you for sure what will happen in 2 days. I do know the Cdn economy is rolling along and that is almost as much to blame for the currency difference than the yen dropping. |

| Higher than expected inflation numbers out of Canada this morning... will probably lead to higher interest rate speculation and a boost for the dollar. |
