| In one university where I taught, contracts ended in July, but the FAO was super cool. She got us all sorts of teaching jobs and fun jobs like China Telecom and China Mobile TV commercials for the rest of the summer. |

As often is the case in China, you are talking to the wrong people. The FAO communicates/or doesn't/ to someone that you think it is unfair you are being paid less. They may or may not convey your logic. You could try going to the Dean of the department and expressing this issue, but make sure to stay cool and be nice.
Chinese or not, tell someone what you think and why and they might turn around and tell another person you think such and such for a reason you don't know or the reason they think you think that way. That reason being shot down means no for you, but the real reason might get a yes.
I know that looks confusing rereading it, but I don't want to rewrite it. |
