'The students wrote their exam yesterday.'
In the real world they took or sat, or even just plain had, their exam. While this is a forgivable slip for non-native teachers, or learners, it drives me over the edge to hear so-called teachers ape this nonsense. Crazy!! |

HAHAHAHA. If we allowed students to write their exams, testing would be pretty useless. This is clearly the job of an instructor - or institution! |

Especially when combined with 'The teachers corrected the exam papers.' No, they marked, or graded, the papers but I've never corrected one. What would be the point? |

| These are papers that the students have already sat! I should hope corrections and proof-reading would have happened beforehand. Mind you some of the papers I've seen in Oman.... not to mention the answer keys! |
