We'll know the outcome in a few hours. Very Happy Unless the vote is very close, which is probably more likely than not.

I have Keltic blood and Kelts are risk-takers; I'm getting the feeling it'll be "Yes." Very Happy

Dear Johnslat

Kelts with a K are usually more Germanic than Celtic Celts, and so less prone to taking chances.

With Kommunist greetings

Well, ladies and gentlemen, Scotland has decided:
No independence, and the next Queen of Scotland is her majesty the Queen EII.

NO = 55%
YES = 45%

My prediction was: NO = 51.7% and YES = 48.3%. (not very far!)

The sky over Scotland is clear, and the future of Scotland under her majesty will be more brighter!! Laughing

It was "yes" in Glasgow, the home of two of my great-grandparents until they left Scotland. Very Happy

Her Majesty expects her subjects to capitalise her title !

1.6 million people said that they did not wish to part of the British State !

Now we have to see if the Unionists deliver all those wonderful things they promised in return for a "NO" vote.

For a 'more brighter future'...

Interestingl, the demographics of voting patterns seem to indicate that it was the pensioners who formed the biggest segment of the No vote. Most young 'uns voted Yes.

The future may yet bring changes.

Here's to the coming independent Socialist Republic of Scotland, URRAAA!!

The bookies had it nailed. They're far better than the so-called political experts on tv.

Mr Salmond accepted defeat and urged the rest of the pro-independence camp to do the same.
The future of Scotland has been decided after the people of Scotland have rejected independence, and voted for Her majesty the Queen to be their Queen in life and death!

Good luck Scotland.

Thank you, Mushkilla. A great day for Scotland and the UK, not to mention my elderly relatives in Glasgow. Scot47 must have been crying in his porridge yesterday morning.
