Homeboy got the axe. Bet it doesn't change a thing for that office. MONEY!!!They'll just slide in the next person into that position to get fired. As long as the money keeps coming, Jap owners are happy. Haiiiiii |
Well, Japanese, but yes. The trainers and lower level management seem to be pretty expendable. I am sure that some willing and able person jumped on the chance to make a few more 万 a month. |

I have no idea why the teacher made such a big deal about wanting to know exactly what the meeting was about. What am I missing? Why is this a big faux pas? If my supervisor asks me to come by their office I do. I may ask what it is about, but if their answer is vague I take the hint and just go meet them.
So I'm a bit confused here. |

So this guy's boss wanted to meet with him, wouldn't say why after he demanded to know, and he pops off this lengthy, unprofessional letter to his bosses' superiors? Wow this is great example of why most English teachers can't hack it in their own countries.
If this were a real job back home he would have been fired for such an outrageous act. If this guy were one of my employees I would have fired him on the spot. First of all, if the boss wants to meet with you, it doesn't matter why. He doesn't have to give any explanation. You don't DEMAND to know the reason. It's really not his prerogative to question the "communication abilities" of management. Judging by the letter, it seems the employee is the one with communication problems. Why doesn't he just roll with it? Why is it so important to know the reason behind the meeting? Ridiculous.
He should accept the fact that he doesn't have all the information. That is the nature of work. In every industry, in every company, those above you are privileged with information that you don't have access to. Welcome to the workforce crybaby! This guy is what we call a "problem employee". |

clearly this idiot boss got canned. so there's that. closes the case on the perks of "privileged with information." his "privileged information" also got fired apparently. LOL
regarding the ability to set up a meeting, in my home country, people know what meetings are about. not because they ask. they are given that information. if not, they are in fast food, the military, or they have a loser boss. people in japan that accept this are used to being stepped on and delegated to. well, your loss for your own low expectations. championing for losers is an embarrassment you should run from, not to. you are complete, utter tools through and through, setting the bar so low that people in japan should start volunteering full time for a shot at mid-level abuse. just sayin...

Not sure why you even bother, stumptowny. This one is obviously fishing. Looks like he joined for this very purpose, or else he is one of our resident instigators doing a bit of rebranding. |

no doubt maitoshi, probably an interac goon trying to save face for the sinking ship. next response, "if you get punched in the face, you really should just take it, and move on.... because that's what I do" amusing stuff. |

And then there are the meetings where going in you think you know what's it's about, but then it becomes something different...! |

Losers. The lot of them. Whether they can't communicate what a meeting is about (using their mouth and plain English) or they change the meeting topic once you are there, I am certain there are hundreds of teachers for Interac who have been through this before. This is no mystery by any stretch. |

I've heard from my sources that this whole thread is bull. No trainer has been sacked from the Yokohama branch. |

Your sources....... from The Onion right? Maybe your sources can meet up with the boots on the ground over at Mad Magazine for a TMZ expose. |

Not sure about the details posted here but a number of people have confirmed that this person did, in fact, resign abruptly (forced to resign aka fired). It does appear related to these events when reading the other topic about Interact Yokohama. |

That is a good thing. THough it does seem like a silly situation. Hope some ALTs can spin this into getting some direct hire positions. |

None. It won't make a smidgen of difference. ALTing is like Meth, you can't stop it and it will leave you with nothing, people will come to interac no matter what is posted about them.
Read this story about Interac it was pretty well known in 2009 all over the web, yet people still come.
