What about Time Bandit references? How nerdy is that? |

Hopefully, mountains and fresh water will never go out of style.
I guess it is too late for Japan. |

Amazingly enough, I am single! Gordon, what gave it away?

Think adverb: almost (the work is just about done)
It's simply how I see myself, the work in progress thingy.

That's a tall order - I've never been friends with anyone who refers to themself as 'skinhead' in any way. I'll make an exception, though, just for you.

Of course not. You have to live with it, not me.
You do what you like. In my new role as your friend, I'll try to be as patient with you as possible.
This is so not the same world I woke up to this morning. The pressures.... the responsibilities .....

Yes, dear. It is what you describe a "muscle shirt" to be. It's also the one that says "wifebeater" next to it.

When I saw the poster's user name, I shuddered.
It's not a stereotype, it's a fact.
In the U.S., Skinhead = Nazi.
It's that simple.

This may come as a bit of a shock...
But there ARE other countries in the world besides the US.
Therefore, it follows that something may not (shock, horror!) have the same connotations in other countries as it does in one.

Hey there, hi there, ho there mouseketeers! I forgot you were still there. There you are.
Just popped in to say goodbye and thanks johnslat for the welcome, and to remind you all that racial / political / ideological stereotyping is for nazis. If you want to know what a real nazi is, ask just colleen. She's an expert. just colleen, you can spank me now - I've grown since we last spoke and I'm ready for discipline. Bring it if ya got it.
Alternatively, eat me. |

Guess what I do to the toilet seat after 3 coffees?
I usually just pop into the "cafe" before or after visiting other places. Depends on if I want a coffee to perk me up before I make the rounds or as a mellowing "wind down".
I rarely go into the side rooms. I prefer to mingle in the common room for a bit, have a few coffees, then pay my bill and leave.
On the skinhead issue:
If I was given the choince of being a skinhead or being stupid, I'd choose the former.
A skinhead can always buy a wig or get hair plugs or whatnot but there's just no cosmetic or medical alternative for the mendicant, the half-wit, the ass, the dolt, the muttonhead or any variation thereof: http://thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=moron
Whenever I hear the phrase
I head the other way and hope whatever they have isn't contagious, for there is no cure. |

| Skinhead, it took you a year to bring this thread back to life. That's got to be some sort of record. I went back to page 1 to refresh my memory. I got all nostalgic. Where is Johnslat. I miss him. |

Skinheads were around long before the Nazis attempt to corrupt and co-opt them.
Anti-Nazi Skins did/do a fine job in reclaiming the hair style and fashion for the mass of ordinary, anti-racist, working class youth.
No room for Nazis: Not even a style-of-clothing to call their own! |
