Colleges of Excellence work you to the bone, and the job security is close to nonexistent. For eg. TQ has lost its contract in Madinah after 2 years. I heard Laureate too I think, in one of its locations in KSA. One of the teachers there is now working in an international school in Jeddah (boys section), and that's a huge downgrading, more like a NIGHTMARE actually.
In universities Prep Year Programs (Foundation Years), it is usually more relaxing, you get long paid summer holidays (around 60 days), as well as Eid (2 weeks), a week at the end of the 1st semester (around January) and a week in April. So that's nice. Plus the medical, the school tuition. Only thing is the housing allowance is ridiculously low for non-PhD holders. In my seven years here, they have never thought of increasing it, although rents have gone up quite dramatically where I live.
