I don't want to go on and on but you have told us you have a 120 Hr TEFL from a Uni (I didn't even know unis did TEFLs. Most TEFLs are done by institutions which are not unis. Some English BA degrees confer a CELTA as part of their degree though in the UK-see Coventry university I think).

If I were you, I would just SAY you have a CELTA when applying for jobs in Spain (even though they don't care whether it is a CELTA or a TEFL cert as I already told you.) Plus why would anyone want to teach EFL in Spain anyway? Do you know how much most of the salaries are there? Yes, that's right, 1,100 Euros Net per month WITHOUT accommodation approximately. Spain is crap for TEFL and crap for International school teachers salary wise. It is a nice place to live though if that's the reason for going there.

Who is your TEFL 120 hr accredited by then? Is it Cambridge English? Mine is Cambridge but it does not say CELTA it says TEFLA. Like any employer in Spain is going to ask for a CELTA transcript? LMAO. I bet there;s plenty of people in Spain and other places in the world who purport to have a CELTA but have probably just downloaded it off the NET somehow. Same for degree holders too. Who checks? Hardly anyone in Europe does. Saudi Arabia is about the only country who does check. I had to put down my uni and degree name and uni telephone number for my visa where I am in Asia but whether they checked it or not I have no idea. They asked for my degree to be confirmed but not the TEFLA (Celta). So, just put CELTA on your CV. No one will take a blind but of notice whether it's a 120 TEFL or a CELTA.

Yeap, I know salaries in Spain are low, hence why I was applying for the KSA. But I can live cheaply, know some Spanish, and do not think Spain is all that bad overall. As for the TEFL, you have hit the nail on the head,I will only explain further by PM, eyes are watching. I was refused a work visa for Hong Kong (the immigration officer closed my case file, or that is what I was told by my boss) because he could not accept I had a TEFL certificate with no TRANSCRIPT. After some argy bargy, I was then told a letter from said uni would suffice, which I now have after returning to the UK....but all to no avail now, as I am no longer in HK. I still have it as proof I did it at said uni, just no transcript or nothing to say what the content/outcomes of said TEFL course was, or who the course tutors were, and the exact date of completion or so on. So I s'pose the original TEFL cert and letter verifying I actually studied it for one month in the summer many years back, from the uni admin office will have to suffice?

I doubt there's a transcript for a TEFL or CELTA. Maybe a letter confirming it's 120hrs. Cant you just make one if they're desperate to see one? Lol

I have a letter, thought I had mentioned that one already, which explains that no records or transcripts are available. So the letter will have to suffice. And so endeth the story, good chap.

Not in Saudi, but I do know that in other countries teachers have been required to get some sort of certificate directly from CELTA headquarters in the UK. It isn't a transcript, but a confirmation that you did complete the program in year X in country Y.

No Saudi employers want to see a transcript or letter from camvridge english confirming you did one. They want transcripts of your BA in English maybe. But youre looking for a work visit visa job so you don't need to prove any qualifications to get one of those. Or do Saudi employers check out your documents you send them if it's for a work visit visa ?

Lack of any transcripts for a TEFL has not proved problematic for finding work in Saudi Arabia, an asshat immigration officer in Hong Kong demanded one, or a letter from my uni, which I now have, so I have a letter stating I have a TEFL from said uni, but no transcripts are available, signed and stamped. Hope that clears it up!
