Thank you Glenski.

I meant communicating on-line.

Just as I have never given up on a student, Glenski will not give up on me.

I have no problem helping others, as I've helped you before too. I guess you have a short memory span.

However, as others have already pointed out, you only take advice if it fits in with your opinion. I laud you for your efforts, but you are all over the place. I can't understand many of your messages and then you start to talk about a different topic. This is why some of us ask you if you are for real. I can't believe you have been teaching in Japan for 15 years. It is unfathomable.

Gordon,

I am going to go back through the posts since I started, get a pen and paper, and jot down all the good ideas people have given.

You did help me Gordon. Thank you.

Sweetsee,
I'm referring to all of your posts, not just this one. You also have edited many of your posts after the fact which makes it difficult for others to point them out to you.

Quote:
Maybe it is because I have been teaching so long that I am all over the place. Or maybe it is you, this collective forum opinion you refer to, that is not all over the place but only in one place. Whoops, I've done it again, haven't I?

I too have been teaching for awhile and I know many others too, but they are not all over the place. I'm not trying to belittle your commmunication skills, but stick to one topic or story at a time. It is difficult to follow your train of thought.

You will have to look elsewhere for help, I'm through. I don't know why I am wasting my time.

Sweetsea:-
I must concur with Gordon; the 'editing thing' means that I am unable to make head nor tail of many of your responses.
You have had so much good advice from people here (myself excluded).
I only hope that the 'chopping and changing' of your posts is not indicitative of the way you execute lessons.......scatter brained does not work in the classroom. Try and keep things simple and clear and be consistent; kids crave security (and that doesn't mean you have to be a boring teacher btw; just means kids perceive you are fair)
The holidays are coming mate,......have a good one!!
Cheers
KK

Sweetsee--

Just a thought here. Maybe the reason that you feel there is a clique that is (what? unwelcoming? out to get you?)... is because your posts sometimes insult the very people who have taken the time to help you. Several posters have offered advice only to get a defensive or sarcastic response from you. I've seen two posters just in this thread who have stated that they no longer wish to give you advice. Why do you suppose they've backed out?

Sweetsee,
Try re-reading your thread on Night School.

Denise, Gordon, Sherri, everybody,

Sorry you guys.

P.S. I took Guest's advice and gave a written and an oral check. Very, very good results. Muchas gracias, Guest of Japan.

FWIW, I think that more people than guest of Japan offered that advice.

Don't suppose there is any way to delete everything I ever posted, is there?
