I'm glad Thelma brought this back to "reality"... I doubt, too, that foreign English teachers are hired for their "color" in Mexico(unlike, say, in Korea).

There's been a lot of discussion the last few days about "racism" and perceptions in Mexico, but in defense of the Mexicans I'd point out that "race" was legislated out of existence in 1824, and no form ever asks, nor any count done, based on "race".

really richtx? I didnt know that.. well bravo for the Mexicans! They are light years ahead of the US in that respect. I cant wait for the day when we legislate race out of existence and just be "American." However, I dont see it anytime soon because too many people benefit from they way things are now.
