Roger misspoke yet again:

Quote:
My favourite ones are:
- ...
- J.F. Kennedy;
- Martin Luther

I think the world's Lutherans will have a slight quibble with the latter choice...

LOL ROTFLMAO.

Poor, poor benighted Roger. He has taught English for so many years that he really doesn't know much of anything else. Laughing

And Asia Traveler, keep practicing my little goodie with the quotes. I think we should only use it on Roger. LOL Laughing

He, no doubt, will write back claiming to have meant Martin Luther King, but I (LOL) have my doubts. Laughing Laughing

There isn't much about Dylan that's schoolmarmish--nor about me, either.

Sometimes the world is a mirror.

Just looking for a descriptive word to go with "corrected," or whatever word I used. I have no doubt there is nothing even remotely schoolmarmish about you, MR! Laughing

What's your problem? The thread is a good idea to bring some balance back into this forum.

OK - here's one for you - my favourite Australian Rules Football team:

Essendon Bombers.

There. Happy now?

Twister,
You are soo full of it! How can you compare yourself to the ' Bird' and myself that were there ? Marching with MLK for a belief. The next month I was sent to Nam.
Your platitudes to that lady are an attempt to gain favor! You have attacked me, for what reason I don't understand. Perhaps, the Raven will listen to your mierda, I won't!

Odd that the censors would get
Quote:
Emily *beep*

She was known to have quite a fascination for dick. I believe it was a dick that got her into writing about dick in the first place. I wonder if her family name, which is dick, comes from the old English dick. Of course, her father, who would have been a dick, loved to dick himself, and that's probably where the dick name came from.

But, what do I know? I'm just a dick.

My problem is that 125,000 people just died in a terrible catastrophe and all people can do is go on about favourite Americans. Why the hell talk about Americans at this tragic time. Just can't handle not having the spotlight can they.

That is utterly ridiculous. So by that logic then no one should be talking about anything other than the Tsunami on this forum or anywhere else. I just asked my co-worker how her lesson went. I guess we should have been talking about the Tsunami. I also witnessed someone giving directions on the street instead of talking about the Tsunami and one guy even had the gall to eat. Hasn't he seen the news? Those baaaastards!

Don, life goes on. This thread may be a bit shallow and pointless but not because it is not dedicated to the Tsunami.

Donfan - I agree with distiller. Nobody has forgotten that awful tragedy and display of nature's power, but this is another thread. I'm not knocking you, because it's good that you have genuine concern. But ...

Life goes on.
