let's not get into what might be hidden in each other's closets, Steve...

I'm sure you will all be relieved to know that Robert, the teacher who found a bullet in his dashboard , is back in the classroom. He was not dismissed, as per rumour, but may well have been left dangling for a while in bureaucratic limbo....speculation is that he may have directed some ill-considered reflections at local dignitaries and higher functionaries.

If experience of the Middle East teaches anything, it suggests that losing your cool is not going to get you anywhere when dealing with Arabs.

The teacher was fired. Protests by his students to senior administrators got him rehired. As some as you know, I verified the gunshot incident with photos. I do not have access to documentation, but did see the original termination notice.
I would suggest that teachers in the kingdom periodically check with supervisors to see if they have been receiving complaints about the teacher. Some administrators here keep files of student complaints that they do not share with the teacher. One cannot clarify situations that one is not aware of.
