The Korean forum has started a poll: Korea vs. Taiwan
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=96166
Votes for which is better to live and teach:
Korea = 9
Taiwan - 2
What a I find amusing is that those who are in Taiwan, yet have never been to Korea, are ready to say that they made the best choice by coming to Taiwan.
On the other hand, those that are now in Korea, yet have never been to Taiwan, say that they made the right choice to teach in Korea. |

Right, so I just started an identical poll for this board here in Taiwan. But since most people voting in each poll haven't been to both countries, it will actually be answering the question, "do you like the country you're living in, or would you rather leave," rather than, "which do you prefer." haha. |

| Been in Taiwan for about three years and it's by far the best place I've lived. You should check out some of the websites devoted to foreigners here to get some more info. Check out http://www.glowfishtw.com/index.asp and http://www.englishintaiwan.com/ both have lots of good articles and should give you the general impression that Taiwan is awesome. come on over. |

I have only been in Taiwan a short time but I people in Taiwan seem less afraid of foreigners. If I say hello to someone on the street that don't start acting all weird.
Of course I cannot compare my experiences between Korea so easily. I am living in Taipei but in Korea I lived in the country side. I have also lived in Gwangju. |
