| tw, I don't doubt your Chinese skills. But can you clarify something for me? I was taught that the word 'receipt' is "fa piao", not "kai piao". A dialect thing? |
You are right, I might have made a mistake or maybe I have hard both forms. For what it's worth let's just say it's "fa piao" then. |
"fapiao" is the noun for receipt and "kaiyigepiao" is phrase for make a receipt or give me a recipt
"kai" 开 = meaning to write out |

Seeing that everything is experience, and China is no different, we foreigners were raised on western capitalism. When the west couldn't squeeze out obsene profits at home anymore and the government had a debt load too big to ever payback under anyone administration-well, just spread the debt out. A sort of "one world economy", floating at best.
You better believe that the rmb is going to change-how many textile firms and factories will go under this fall?
The capitalism in sinoland is akin to that of the "Boss Tweed Era", where the fat cats who controled NY got so fat, while most folks got thin, that they burst-and got busted(ie: people got fed up with their corruption.
The only thing different here is that they can declare martial law to protect themselves. Of course that would border on being more nazi that anything resembling Engles or Marx.
I sometimes dream of Mokeolumne peak in the Sierra Mountians, and then it's gone... |
