Here's my suggestion:
1) Buy a degree, around $150 U.S.
2) Go to China
3) Go to either Liaoning, Heilongjang or some other northern province
where only a Canadian or Norwegian could stand the weather and where they subsequently pay through the teeth for teachers
|
And where exactly would I get this degree from? And wouldn't that be a fake degree? I'm sure it would work in places like Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan, right? What do you think? |
Taiwan, probably NO.
Japan, NO, definitely not. |
Taiwan, YES!
Fake degrees work in Tiaiwan and lots of people use them successfully - especially Canadians. |

Try Taiwan.
|
And how would he get into Taiwan for that matter with a Criminal Record?
Does this mean that if you have a criminal history that Taiwan immigration will be reluctant to allow you entry? How in the world would they know? Do they do a background check when you apply for a visa? |

china sounds like its pretty good in terms of pay if you don't have a degree? or is a degree necessary? what cities are best in terms of girls (non-professionals), culture, art and ESL work?
the instantdegrees site looks pretty dodgy, a lot of spelling errors and such. i would be hesitant to use something like that unless i had some idea of the quality of the service and product.
it sounds like some people have been using fake degrees in taiwan and japan too. or do they always check that there? i suppose it depends in part on what area of the country it is, and how desperate they are for teachers?
anybody know anything about a city in China called Dali, in Yunnan? was told it had a great cafe scene, and some historic sites, but i don't know anything more. |

what's with you and Cambodia, Khmerlit? a generation brought up on mass murder and the Khmer Rouge, is that really working out? i would think it would make N. Vietnam look like a walk in the park, and those people don't take kindly to strangers.
Btw, anybody else get threatened with being banned for mentioning illegitimate degrees in a thread? just happened to me. |

mick_luna will be 85 years old before he next ventures abroad to teach. Before that day, he'll repeatedly post the same questions about dating and culture and life, get the same responses over and over, and then he'll start yet another thread titled "Where's the best place to make money from drawing cartoons and brewing beer?"
Can somebody spell "lame" for this guy? Will he ever get ENOUGH information about a specific place to actually pack his bags and get on a plane? I doubt it. |

thanks again for another complete non sequitur. i know you have some kind of weird obsession with me, but try to keep it in your pants. how do i spell 'lame'? H E N R Y.
if you had bothered reading my post, you would notice that i was replying to Khmerlit about his last post. nothing whatsoever about whatever you are babbling about. at least have the courtesy to respond to the actual topic, and by the way, why don't you go out and try to make some friends, or attack people in the street, or whatever it is you do for fun. i will continue to post on this board, as the majority of posters aren't total anal retentive w***ers like you.
i don't usually stoop to personal attacks, but you have been asking for this for some time. get a ****ing life of your own. or is this what gives you the greatest personal satisfaction, name calling and insults? get yourself a megaphone and go harass passersby in the street.
where are the moderators when it comes to ***holes like this who just try to provoke meaningless arguments? |

First up. Garlic & Basil you should not have posted the things you did. There are people watch forums and track individuals
Philosophically much of what you said is true and morally correct.

Leave Pakistan out of this. Fine cricket players who understand the cultural importance of tea. So they can't be bad, right? |
Obligation to society hah?!? The ONLY MORAL obligation is to live and let live. |

There ya go, mick. That's what I was responding to: your obsessive, repeated, and never-ending attempts to get anonymous Internet trawlers to tell you what the best place in the world is for you.
You're getting to sound like the whining child who's always asking, "Will I like it, Mummy? Will I like it?" |

Far point Henry the lad needs to bite the bullet and get out there...let go of mummy's apron strings. Get off your arse and get out there.
Uberinflight: chillout, more power to the people who print the 'juice' on these forums...Let's not all walk on egg-shells worrying about Big Brother. I work in NYC and the place runs, yes that's right, runs on illegal immigrant labour...no-one gives a toss whether they got legit 'papers'. The situation here is beyond laughable.

Dear old "mick" will do anything to stay in Canada with Mummy rather than take a chance on having new experiences in another land.
Don't forget: "mick" has told us that he was burned once by going to Hanoi on the advice of a Dave's ESL Cafe anonymous troller. "mick" didn't like Hanoi. Not one bit. He blames that anonymous troller for giving him bad advice.
So now what's he doing? Yet again he's asking for advice from Dave's ESL Cafe anonymous trollers on perfect places for him to live and work -- on more than 20 threads that he's recently created here!
Most animals (humans included) learn from their mistakes, but not our "mick". |

Don't bother with Taiwan if you're a Canadian and have a fake degree. The government is cracking down on fake degrees and illegally emplyed workers right now. Plus, due to recent drug busts involving mostly Canadians, they seem to be especially hard on Canadian passport holders. If my degree wasn't real, I'd be outta here. Friends are getting deported left and right. And rumor has it it's going to get a lot worse. |
