I may appear that way because of the time difference. I am usually signed in when most people on this board are sleeping.

You're one to talk, Mr. Loyd, sometimes the hours you post make it hard for me to believe you actually live in Turkey. Such late nights! Don't you have early morning classes to teach at ET?

Late nights-so what? I am a TEFL teacher. Roll in hungover with a couple of hours sleep-that is the norm.

You brought up the forbidden topic on a ''reasons to be cheerful'' topic-you are bad.

Oh no problem. If I bring up the forbidden topic I get pilloried and called reviled and reported to the moderator. If anyone else does it -no problem. And then on another thread he or she goes cringing to his or her guru entrailicus for a few scraps of praise.

Oh, so you're not a boring, repetitive old fish wife, you're just victimised? OKAY! Everyone please leave Mark alone, we should be more understanding and stop asking him to defend his words and we should stop living in Suadiye because it's wrong if you come from T'north. Now please let him moan on about any old random drivel whenever he sees fit

Poor thing * pats head *

Did I do good Entrailicus ? huh?

Exclamation EVERYONE Exclamation

I apologize for bringing up the dreaded little alien on the "reasons to be cheerful" thread. I am a bad person. Rolling Eyes

Entrailicus - your next step is to grow your hair long, move to southern India and set up your own ashram.

Oops! I see on another thread you won't be here for Halloween - no problem! You will be here for the full-on Christmas season!

Seriously! Yesterday I was in a store, they were taking down the Halloween crap and putting it in discount bins. Right behind them, another crew of people were decking the halls! Shocked

Well Saloma I am going to be in Oregon soon, so I will be experiencing similar weather and possibly a drive through wine country. I will have my friend's hybrid car for a weekend, so it will be really weird to drive again. Oregon is beautiful and I hope this time to get to the Pacific, rain or shine. Probably rain...

Yeah fair point Markey ,when was the last time you worked for a place that paid for your airfare ,buggered if I can remember. Maybe thats why teaching standards are going to the dogs these days ,they (our sweet bosses) just don't come across with the goods anymore . Incentives, I think they used to call them and such phrases as loyalty bonus were banded about in the good old days of tefl teaching .

I am afraid it is hourly pay and sweet FA.

Teaching standards-they don`t give a toss.
