If your smart, your also using a voltage regulartor on your computer. Not a surge protector like you need in the US and Canada, but a little box that can be turned on and off. These use a lot more electricity than a computer, and you should be sure to turn them off when you turn off your computer.

A lot of modern TV and stereos are also electricity hogs due to remote controls. If a device has a remote control, part of it is always on, waiting to respond to the remote, and holding programmed in information, like a clock setting or something.

Also my house is designed so that I don't have to turn on any lights until sunset, and since I collaspe into bed shortly after 9pm, that means I don't use a lot of electricity. I have two ceiling fans, that I use in the months of April, May and June. Otherwise no climate control is needed in my region (a large part of the reason why I've stayed here so long!).
