What you say here could and has resulted in being put of the forum
But the fact is, as long as there are Teachers who will live in poor conditions and work for nothing there will be schools that will pay you if you show up and say NO! at the start this wont happen.
That leads back to the price is right. And how little you are willing to sell your self for.
If your happy working for 400us a month and live in a cave why pay more?
Its all business charge as much as you can and pay as little as you can !!
And never tell the teachers things like, by law the school needs to give you a payment for Ramadan, and they are responsible for what you do here and as such need to take care of you and your needs including your expanses to and from Indo!!
YOU HAVE RIGHTS TOO!
Did you know that by coming here on a visitor visa you have no rights? However if you were on a 2 month work visa you have a lot of pull over the school. Bet the school never told you there is a short work visa (2-6 months visa #457 and #439 for look for work)

Check the link the visa info
http://www.kbrisingapura.com/eservices_for.php?lang=eng
every thing you ever wanted to know is here.
Or any agent will tell you what visas are available, but that doesnt mean the school will get you one!! Then they must follow the law
And all the garbage of fines if you go early is not legal either. the school who walked on my contract had to pay me for the year and pay for my house too!

One year visa for workers - that's the information I can see on this site and it's no different from the information I already have.
Seems standard unless you are a seaman or a domestic worker?

My school arranges everything for me & it's always been done properly and all things have been in order. Yes, I have trouble navigating that site, especially when my jungle love is sitting on my lap. Still, never had any problems with visas and I wouldn't want to go through the hassle of arranging my own. I know that schools can 'lock you into' a contract and not allow you to leave the country - but you can apply for a multi-entry 'addition' to your visa (750,000rp) therefore you can come and go as you please.
Why did this thread start up? Is someone having visa problems? |
