Deconstructor, I liked what you said about great teachers, though I am sad for my lack of knowledge.

I don't appreciate your (ass)inine (ass)umption that I would ever purchase a degree in Thailand for 100 US, stillonshyte!
It was more like 100 BAHT, thank you. I most certainly wouldn't waste that kind of money on a piece of paper just so I could teach BSL.

"Still, what would I know with my college degree and my many years of experience when konyoku has it sussed that all you need is bullshyte."

Still, I thank you for that acknowledgement, stillonshyte. You can be sweet at times.

Thanks to you all, you've inspired me!

Check out my website www.englishteacherx.com for my latest posting:

ENGLISH TEACHING VS. PROSTITUTION AND HAIRDRESSING: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

at:

I don't know why I don't check Dave's more often, all the pointless bickering and holier-than-thou posturing always remind me of why I started my website in the first place. . .

Fine, fine. You keep on with your teaching of Bull Shyte, as you so sweetly term it, and the rest of us will continue teaching English.

Move along now folks. There's nothing to see here.

You can't do that! Especially, if the powers are not invested in you.

This analysis leaves out an important distinction. At the height of their professions, the analysis looks very different. Hairdressers can earn big money, check out the salaries for the hairdressers of Hollywood stars. for ladies-of-the-evening there's even more of a contrast- Certainly travel and other perks are available to the call girls of the rich and famous.
Now English Teachers- what can the very best English teachers aspire to in their profession? Crying or Very sad

Laughing
