Yeh Baby!
Here in Huizhou, i met a girl from Canada who is a newbie. She's been hired by an agent by the name of Chelsea.
Chelsea Chen in Guangzhou.
[email protected]
works in an office out of Tianhe.
Now Chelsea is a wonderful Cantonese girl with a good "Chinese heart".
She has placed FT's in excellent very well paid jobs in Guangzhou.
She operates mainly in GZ but also in Guangdong.
Painting a picture, she hires, she hires anybody. Can she place you, she can place anybody.
Remember this everybody, she values: 1. Money; 2. Does it matter?
Getting to the point. It has come to my attention from the Canadian Lassie that not only has she been "conned", but one of her friends has too.
She said that Chelsea had promised a job in Guangzhou, but told FT that the children were bad at that school, and that she would enjoy the children in Huizhou more (likely story, any answer is a good answer. The real reason is more likely to be the other school did not pay her, or she didn't have any current GZ jobs available any more as promised).
FT experienced culture shock in Huizhou. No friends, no telephone, a lot of negative feelings towards Chelsea. Chelsea still has the passport of FT, and will keep it for another month to process it, to give FT a work permit. FT is straight out of uni, with a degree in something else. As it turned out the school that ended up with FT is not a bad small school with excellent accomodation and a 5000 salary. That's not because of Chelsea's good management but by accident.
I would say Chelsea accepts all of her referral schools who pay.
She'll accept you too. You are her bread and butter.
So will all the other agents, and if you don't have a degree, they can still place you.
The key thing is get your butt here, and then they can help you.
P.S. I'm not Chelsea's advertising manager.
I would say from my experience, that get the full details of the job, where it is and how much is the pay, ask for an interview with them.
If there are many more complaints about Chelsea of substance, then i will keep the members happy, and report them.
You probably need to be in China before this one (Chelsea) can begin to help you.
I can recommend her, but beware of where you may end up. She's not China wide, so there are many other agents you can choose. |

| And, they will tell you that you are an excellent teacher until the drivel comes out your ears and nose. Of course, once you leave, they will tell the next one how much better he/she is than the one who just left! Just believe!!!!! |
