| You can save money in Thailand. You won't save as much as you can in places like Taiwan or Korea, but the quality of life here offsets the monetary shortcomings. I can save far more here than I ever could back in America while enjoying a much higher quality of living. It takes me about 2 months here to save enough money to buy a new laptop computer whereas it would have taken me over a year to do that back in the states after being shaken down each payday by Uncle Sam and all the rest of society's hustlers. As far as the safety considerations...I have never felt unsafe here. Back in America I was in a near confrontational situation 3 times in a 4 month period and could have just as easily lost my life. You could possibly be the victim of a random act of terrorism just like anyplace else. Hey.... September 11, 2001 over 3000 New Yorkers left heir houses to go to work and never returned. But the chances of being mugged by some down on their luck drug addict or accosted by some drunk redneck who for some reason thinks you are the dude who grabbed his sweet thang's butt 3 nights back in the Rolling Thunder bar are far greater than your random acts of malice here. |

Thai Beer!
Stay away from Beer Chang filled with awful chemicals as they cut down the brewing time to distribution. Solution : Drink San Miguel beer now with it being sold in the market.
Stay away from Tourist Working Sharks. Solution : Only anti-dote is to learn Thai and deal on your terms.
Stay away from a steady diet of white rice & cheap noodles - 30 B street food. Solution : Open up the wallet & eat like a Thai!
