Sad 55 is pretty steep for that-- I can't imagine you got the place all that dirty on your own, 5 rooms or not. Unless... were you throwing red wine and lipstick around again? For shame!

You should just send your ironing to husband's auntie.

(Yay! After much faffing around, justme has finally leapt into the 90s and gotten Internet at home. Maternity leave has suddenly become as great as it's cracked up to be. But it seems sitting in front of the computer gives Wee justme the hiccups...)

Are you reminiscing about pre-pregancy days?

Mostly what I miss about pre-pregnancy days, aside from the booze of course, is being able to stand up easily.

It's the little things.

You know what? You're absolutely right! Maybe I can liken pregnancy to being really really drunk all the time! Except with less dancing. And less shouting. A total lack of loud expertise. More tears but fewer headaches. I do wish I could remember whatever strategies I used to have for putting my shoes on while drunk... Confused

Inflation! It's been awhile since we had that cleaner in Bakırky. Just had one out today for the first time, and she was 50 for the day. She cheerfully worked her *ss off though-- windows, curtains, even scary places like behind the sofa. Scrubbed the carpet with a brush. Bleached the grout on the balcony. She'd been at it for 5 hours before I convinced her to have a break and a bowl of soup. Plus she doesn't need someone standing over her telling her what to do and how to do it.

It's a bit steeper than I expected, but still seems worth it to never have to do that crap again...

And Thrifty, you are indeed very thrifty to have gotten a full day's cleaning for 30YTL!
