I've moved around a bit, too. Since 1999, I've taught in five countries (well, six, if you count the month-long summer camp in China, which I don't...hmm...and seven if you count the part-time teaching that I did in the US during grad school). I certainly don't see myself as a traveler, and I have chosen this field as a career, not as a passing fancy. I actually think I had fairly legitimate reasons for each move that I made. I would question someone who flitted about from country to country after just a matter of months, because that might indicate that he/she didn't finish a contract somewhere, but a year or two in each place seems fine to me--it gives you breadth rather than depth of experience, but who's to say that one is better than the other?
