37. Knowledge is freedom

You are more aware than a lot of ex pats i know out here. The problem with working in Saudi is not knowing when to quit. You come to earn enough for a house, whatever. Then having acquired the house, you need money to enjoy the house. Before you know it, you've become a saudi hand. On leave from this place, I realize how much i've lost / am losing contact with the world out there; the world i aspire to live in eventually. Coming out to Saudi, we bargain Time for Money

maybe its ok to learn, in the course of this self-imposed sentence, that we've changed our minds about losing our minds. That, at this juncture, Time has become more important than Money and we only have to unlock the gate and get back with the programme. Maybe you're just mapping, through trial and error, Van, your course through life

''A self-ordained professors tongue
Too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty
Is just equality in school
Equality, I spoke the word
As if a wedding vow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
Im younger than that now ''

..ah yes, nowt like a good ol sing-song to lighten the load
