Uh, why is it 'the question'?

Because it has a definitive answer!

And do you seriously expect a definitive answer (assuming there is one) on an ESL chat board?

Why not?
It depends on who will answer the question.

You do realise that you've managed to totally contradict yourself in the space of two whole sentences?

Don't you?

I don't think so.

You have to differentiate between Jews and Israelis.

This is actually a very important distinction. Many Saudis I've met over the years have made this distinction, and I would venture so far as to say that most educated Saudis...or Arabs and Muslims generally...may have a serious grudge against Israel...which is understandable, but have absolutely nothing against Jews on the whole. Tarring all Jews with the Israeli brush is a bit like condemning all Muslims for 911 or saying that because many nazis were actually Catholic, therefore all Christians are fascists.

I'm curious to hear what other posters' experiences have been.

It depends on who will answer the question.

And so on, ad infinitum.

Abba, slow down, READ posts, THINK about them, and then post. Pages are wasted owing your inability/unwillingness to read responses properly, to digest what has been said, and lastly, to post a cogent response.

You're missing salient points and then posting something garbled that suggests you're on another planet altogether, both cognitively and linguistically.

I would beg to differ slightly. I would say "sophisticated" and/or "secular", instead of "educated". Of course, there is no right answer here. It all depends on one's experience.

But if you look at what the Saudi school curriculum teaches Saudi kids about Jews (Jews, not Israelis), then you will realize that a majority of Saudis despise Jews for their disobedience to God millenia ago.

Can I ask a question here? How many of the people on this thread have actually read Mein Kampf? And how many of those people have become National Socialists as a result?

If the answer is none, and none, then why is there such a furore about the fact that the book has been translated into Arabic and that some Saudi might pick it up from the Bargain Basement and read it.

We are talking about a book that Hitler himself said had been overtaken by events.

Not sure if I'd say "absolutely nothing against". In my experience, while most Saudis - I'm talking about the educated, well-travelled Saudis here - do not neccessarily hate all Jews, they do mistrust them. You hear a lot of the "Jews control the US media" talk, and obviously, there is deep resentment at the fact that the majority (let's be realistic here) of diaspora Jews 'support' Israel and refuse to acknowledge, much less condemn its many atrocities. Of course as trapezius has said there is also a good deal of pure racism and religious bigotry towards Jews, particularly among the more conservative majority in KSA. The fact that most Israelis - and many of their 'supporters' abroad - have similar attitudes towards Arabs and Muslims does not make Saudi bigotry any less deplorable.

Do you have any evidence for your answer? Or, are you influenced by the hardliners of Israeli propaganda?
Dont you think that the majority of Jews lack the political, historical and theological understanding to interpret correctly the Vaticans actions towards the Jews and the state of Israel?

Or may be the cause of the problem between the Vatican and the Jews is this: The Jews did not recognize Jesus, and therefore the Vatican cannot recognize the Jewish people?

And control and run the foreign policy of uncle Sam & the USA. People like Paul Wolfowitz , Lewis Libby, Richard Perle, Henry Kissinger, Douglas Feith, and many others, are all well know Jews who are pro-Israeli supporters/fanatics.

Just a second, Abba, weren't you the one saying that there was a 'definitive answer' to this question?
