Cleo are you an average EFL teacher? If so, does your rather cheap potshot at your male peers apply to you? I would have expected your biting cynicism to be aimed at the person who asked about dating in the first place rather than a sweeping and spiteful jab at EFL men in general.

Is this not typical (or should I say 'average'), or what?
On a board where female posters routinely come in for rather personalised abuse, someone gets all upset about a comment which was clearly specifically aimed at comments made by particular posters on this particular thread. The reason I addressed my post at the people I did was because I came to this discussion late, since you seem to be interested. |

Where? When? I think the poster who comes in for the most ''personalised abuse'' is a male. |

Err... sheikh... as a male perhaps you don't notice? But it is common and regular on this board and has been so for some years.... especially on the Saudi section.
Yes, our Cleo does sometimes take offense when it probably wasn't meant and perhaps over-reacts. But this problem does get tiresome at times for the few female posters...

Nonsense. The only doubt now is why you chose to back up this silly claim, with the equally silly and hypocritical (and condescending) point that "as a male perhaps you didn't notice?"
You were happy to come here and make a nasty accusation against "male posters" but you're not prepared to 'put up.' Same as when you singled out 007 a couple of weeks ago.
If you're not prepared to back up your claims with examples at least name the offending posters. Or, even better, retract your comments and let's forget about the whole tedious affair (an 'affair' I was determined to stay out of until you showed up to try and give it credibility.) |
