It's no wonder TEFL has a reputation as a job for the young (primarily). Pensions are almost unheard of, banking systems are unstable and raising a family is extremely difficult. How many of us would have liked to have grown up and been educated in the country you are currently teaching in? Would your education have been better than in your home country?
How about the medical system, would you like to subject yourself to a major medical surgery where you are now compared to your home country? |

| At some point, I think I'm going to need a financial advisor and do some heavy future planning. I'm more worried about my daughter's university education than my retirement, though. |
