Pedestrian-only Gante st in the center is a nice spot to relax at an outdoor patio. |

i used to skateboard there a lot in the evenings and this is pretty much all that goes on at the alameda (besides skateboarding) when it gets dark.
sorry to destroy the illusion of tranquility!
i second gante by the way. there are some jazz clubs opening in that area (or there were a couple years back) so it's not even a bad choice for a night out. |

| Did the Templo Mayor for the first time on Sunday - (and I've been here 7 years!) - highly recommended. It's good if you've already read up on or know the history. The chronology is a bit strange in the actual pyramid, but the museum is easy to follow. You'll need about 3 hours to do it properly. |
