Yes, and very expensive. I had an interview and a drink there. I like the ''Gulf Gate'' hotel in Bahrain. 3 star, with an Irish-style pub, an American bar and Arabic coffee shop. Pleasant staff and most of the other things expat TEFLERs look for in Bahrain. |

I am told that for gentlemen who have a taste for the "dusky Ethiope", the Hotel California is the place to be, but it is closed for renovations. |

The Vice Squad have closed the Ty*** Hotel. I am planning to stay in the Gulf Pearl on my next trip to the Island Paradise of Bahrain. |

The Capital Hotel in Manama is now charging guests BD15 Per Hour to reserve a room nightly. Who knows what goes on there behind closed doors?? It seems Manama business ladies are more WELCOME than their guests there! |

The November holiday is looming on the horizon. Having booked my flight through Bahrain, I feel I must investigate one of the more salubrious gin-joints. Any suggestions ? |

Dear scot47,
"No one seems to come here any more !"
Probably because it's too crowded (tip of the hat to Mr. Yogi Berra.)

What? Have you fallen off the wagon Scot? Is that what happens when you can't get on Dave's for a couple days?
