| How hard is it to find a job in Japan at the moment? |
Very. Especially if you have no experience and are out of country. Sorry. That's the way it is. Jobs are starting in less than a month, most schools have already hired.
That leaves eikaiwa (conversation schools), juku (cram schools) and the odd place where someone backs out at the last second or they simply forgot to hire anybody. |

wait......what was the title of this thread...hmmmm.....i'm amazed yet again by the useless arguing back and forth here here.
HOW HARD IS IT TO GET A JOB AT THE MOMENT....ahhhh yes, that was what the posters Q was. |
The OP and whoever else won't know how hard it is until they actually apply for a few jobs. (I'll admit in this case that I haven't closely read the whole thread, but then, I for one wasn't responding to the original topic). Chances are there are still some out there, but is the general implication meant to be, 'If I read enough hopeless naysaying, I won't even bother to get out of bed let alone fire off a few applications', with the corollary, 'Is anyone going to please simply drop a job into my lap after reading this thread'.
Of course, I am playing devil's advocate somewhat here, and feel (indeed will at some point sooner or later again share) the pain of jobseekers jobseeking, but why should we be compelled to answer each and every posted query in detail, much less to not respond to whatever off-topic comments that others (that is, others i.e. certainly not me) have left. (Personally, I think the occassional off-topic foray can make for better discussion in the long run, and if/when I myself bring things back on topic, I try to make a point of not declaring it too loudly). |
