Are you sure? I was under the impression that a Schenghen visa is required throughout most of Europe, but the UK demands a different, separate visa. My wife had this issue when we went for our hols back to the UK and Italy last summer (but was tourist rather than residence). Your info gives me hope! |

Well, I let you join the grammatical people and discuss with them the use of apostrophe!
As Uncle Scott said, this is Apostrophobia and Apostrophilia, and this is not my speciality! |

I'm talking about spousal visas, not tourist visas. If you're going on holiday in Europe and the UK your wife will still require a Schengen visa and a UK visa.
If are a British citizen and settle down to work in Italy your spouse will automatically be granted a residence visa. Ditto if you were an Italian who settled in the UK. It is only if you are a British citizen who settles in the UK that your wife can be arbitrarily refused a visa. |

Thanks - interesting to know. Haven't worked in Europe for a while - might be worth it for me and my wife in a year or two, rather than the UK. Food for thought!

I have to say that the discussion on this thread is really' really' really' ...............
So I was doing a little research and found out that friendship has a bigger psychological impact than family relations. Would this include on line friendship also I wonder. I know that the real thing is the best but I feel that proximity is not really necessary.
Hey in one month my better half will be here and she is my BFF but all of yous have earned a special place in my hurt.
