Where I am 'vet' can get you driven out of town or howled down with cries of derision! Such is the relativism of location.
Now, dear NCTBA you are clueless to my age so please stick to the subject and don't succumb to the desire to have the last word at all costs.
I'm sure you are able to appreciate that potential newcomers to the KSA are understandably jittery given that which is posted on this forum irrepsective of our age and experience. I personally have oodles of experience in situations (prior to ESL teaching) that may well make the KSA seem like child's play however, I am none-the-less skeptical about working there; and my ability to cope should the going get tough. It is perfectly acceptable for potential employees to wonder what is the reality of working there given everything is contingent; even the adice of 'vets'. In esse, the only approriate advice is: you take your chances and ipso facto; you live with the consequences. This is the nature of the beast. |
