I was with my family on Tahlia Street in a restaurant (dry when we went in), and when we were finished, the streets were flooded!

Too bad/sad the residents in the Southern and Eastern part will suffer again.

I've also been approached by King Abdulaziz University. If any who was worked there or knows anybody who has feel free to give me some insight. As far as what I've read this university seems to fit in between the lower and higher ranked university in KSA.

Since I am interested in lifelonglearning, I would like to read for a doctoral degree on a part-time basis, while working at that university if possible. Has anyone done this?

Yikes... really? Never heard of anyone doing that in any of the Gulf countries. Have you?

I suspect that it wouldn't even be allowed at most government universities since most places restrict all of their spaces to nationals.

I doubt any "respected Western University" has distance PhD programs.

Yes, my question relates to working full-time at KAAU and reading part-time for a doctoral degree there.

Do you know why the law would forbid foreign females from doing this (other than to ensure places for nationals)? Are there any exceptions to such a law if such a law exists?

Would there not be a question about distance-learning degrees or online degrees, in that, many employers don't recognize them?

I cannot speak for KAAU, but at KFUPM there are foreign students, even on the Prerp Year programme. Faculty at KFUPM often enroll on the KFUPM MBA programme as part-time students That Numerical Ginger Tom is giving misleading information again.

He must be a Saudi citizen, or a residence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia having valid Iqama.

(I met a young Brazilian studying here on my Saudia flight last June)


Fees

In addition to the cost of books, all part-time graduate students pay a tuition fee of SR 150 per credit hour for the courses taken.


MBA

Admission Requirements for the Master of Business Administration Program. The minimum requirements for admission as a regular graduate student to the M.B.A. program are:

1. a baccalaureate degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an approved institution;

2. a Grade-Point Average (GPA) of 2.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale for university work taken previously. Official transcripts from each college and university the student has previously attended must be mailed directly from the registrar of that school to the College of Graduate Studies;

3. a satisfactory score in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT, formerly ATGSB). The GMAT scores must be sent to the College;

4. satisfactorily meeting the University's language requirements;

5. satisfactorily meeting other general University requirements for admission.

But... KFUPM is often rather an outlier in so many ways (usually in good ways) that this very well may not be the standard in all Saudi universities.

Assuming that "Susie" is female, her options may be even more limited...
