Glenski,
I'm sorry if I'm causing more stress. I really am taking all this advice seriously, and I don't want anyone to see this as me believing its worthless. I want to confront my employer with hardcore facts though, that came from people who knows the labor laws inside and out (in no-way am I saying that to be-little you! I do believe you know you're facts, and that's why I'm soo happy every time you respond to my posts. You've actually helped me out soo much! Not just this topic, but before I got here too.). That's why I'm soo hell-bent on receiving consultation (thus me getting in contact with the Union in the first place). I really do believe I'm in the right. I need to give all those facts to my employer so they can't argue against it, and so I am not penalized in an unfair manner. My employer is the type of person where if you give them a fact, they want to know where it came from, and who told me to believe it that way.
I'm checking out those links you gave me and planning some calls tomorrow morning! Good information I couldn't find, thank you!
Also going to get in contact with a LBO person to make sure my last paycheck gets in my hand. I think if they are willing to be clued in to my situation, my boss can't try to do anything fishy with my contract. That really relieves a lot of stress, thank goodness!

Just tell your employer all the answers to her questions are in the labor laws.

Actually, they can't force you out of housing like that. I believe that after your contract ends, you actually have up to 6 months to move out on your own. |

In this kind of situation employers will manipulate you to suit their needs. The law is on your side in this case. What are they going to do? Take you to court over a document that won't hold water?
As for the apartment, is the company your guarantor? They are simply trying to cover their butt here. If you leave and money is owed it is the company that is ultimately responsible for the bills. This is why it's so tough to get someone to act as guarantor.
I have had a messy breakup with an employer in Japan. I got legal help, wrote a polite but threatening letter, and the harassment stopped and I was paid in full.
I can tell from your posts you don't like confrontation, but you are being used here. |
