It's totally different. Here is Warsaw the babcias smile and wave at you in shops, speak softly, and mind their own f-ing business. They would never dream of giving unsolicited advice like telling you to zip up your jacket or you'll catch cold...etc. etc. etc.
Of course it's the same! Are you kidding me?
The babcias working at the Carrefour checkouts are real gems. Amazing how they can switch from softly muttering curses at a can of peas that won't scan to bloodcurdling screaming when a customer has left his karta rodzinka behind. All in the blink of an eye.
Don't mess with the babcias. Much better to move far, far away to a country with no telephones. |
