i've seen a few pretty violent attacks come out of nowhere here in china, so i have no doubt this story is well within the realm of possibility. but unless the knife wielding colleague gets on here to tell her story, we already know as much as we need to know.

Was there any kind of argument that preceded it? Were you talking about any topic in particular?

this is a possibility. i read a story where a man was telling his wife he wanted a divorce, but asked for sex with her one last time. she pulled out some scissors and went to work on him.

The old saying "never hit a girl" even in play has some merits. Once a female retaliates, for what ever reason, it is a losing issue for the male. Hey not only in China and wasn't it Al Greene who had a pot full of grits tossed at him.

I've gathered two things from this thread:

1) don't trust Chinese women
2) don't work for KidsCastle in Xi'an

Thank you for the free advice. That's all. Have a great day!

Cool

Regards,

With a slight twist, this story could end up in Penthouse Forum.

For comparison, I spent two years teaching at a Chinese university as well. Early in my second year there, I got suddenly sick and collapsed in the middle of a lesson. (By the way--since I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea--I'm a very healthy person. The two episodes I"m describing are pretty much the only time illness has struck in the last ten years!)

I doubt it was because they were Chinese. That is the difference between a university and a language school.

Can we see some sort of actual, documented evidence of this so-called attack?
