But I heard that Eye and Oui is 3 times as frequently-used as Ben and BIz, but only when its Uncle Ben in Show Biz.

I will heartily agree with that observation that relationships are far more important in Turkey than rules (in professional environments as well). They tend to blow up and throw tantrums at the smallest issues. I've heard stories of bosses screaming their heads off at secretaries about minor issues.

I realize now that there will a huge cultural gap between foreign teachers and the students. Best to learn to compromise, me thinks. This is a foreign country after all. Perhaps, I need to stop expecting them to understand me. Brought a lot of disappointment. Find your own group- people who are going through the same thing. Much needed- trust me!
