PESEL and NIP were free. I just filled out a form and they mailed it to me(NIP) or gave it to me right there (PESEL).

I'm pretty sure REGON is free as well. They create this number for you when you start a business.

But yes, paying 400zł for the residency app/card every year sucks.

interesting.....4 years ago, i paid 50zl each for my NIP, PESOL, and REGON.

Poland is the headquarters for Little League Baseball for Europe, N. Africa, and the Middle East. Stan Musial was a big supporter as well as that Piszek guy (the founder of Mrs. Paul's frozen foods).

i have never, in my life, seen a single polish kid playing baseball in poland.

i have also never, in my life, seen baseball on polish TV.
