I took a course in TEFL at ISSO in Bogota. It was significantly cheaper (nearly half price, from doing the CELTA at British Council). I learned a tremendous amount about methodologies, and to be honest, grammar I had forgotten since grade school. The TEFL course their helped me feel comfortable in the classroom and I now have a job in an institute that does not require me to travel around town all day long on Collectivos and I'm quite happy with it. |

Hey Jonny,
I may be going through a similar experience soon...
Can you tell me how easy it was for you to find the current position?
Did you find that the institutes were quite open to applications in Bogota?
