From the Yemen border heading north, it's Jizan City (about 300,000),
then 30 min along Jeddah Highway to Sabya, then 30 minutes more to Baish.
Baish is a dusty little outpost, site of SESP Poly, and a growing place
with an Aramco refinery being built there (Baish is ten km. from the
Red Sea) and a large airport that will someday replace the airport
in Jizan. Jizan Province has to be one of the fastest growing places in
the Kingdom. It is not a very good place to live now, but new
amenities are popping up all the time. |

| Our previous poster, who suddenly disappeared but who was evidently well informed, said that s/he received an email to the effect that the new PINZ-Aramco project in Jizan was not happening. I was, through a third party, privy to the same email from PINZ, and really nothing conclusive can be said on the basis of it other than this project is stalled. PINZ continue to negotiate with their Saudi counterparts; no September start, as I told you before. |

| PINZ have, at long last, stopped advertising for that new Jizan Aramco Training Center gig. The sticking point was over who would pay salary, LOL. Repeating something I'd said earlier, treat anything PINZ say with a pinch of salt...If you're timing is in, you might get lucky, but don't count on it. |

| There's still fighting between KSA and Yemen. Car bombings happen. Just because it's not in the paper doesn't mean it's not happening. |
