'The dark side'? She killed a baby, justice was done. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Capital punishment is practiced in America as well and I have no problem with it. |
It is against international law to execute a child. She happened to be from a very poor country and her recruiter had to falsify her age in order for her to go to work in the first place. A 17 Y/O child should not have to leave her country and family in order to live. How would she be responsible for the well being of a baby when she is a child herself? |

yes |
The only reason I can think of to "convert" to Islam would be so I could visit Meccah and that place has no particular fascination to me. I can see lots of pictures without "converting" just to visit there. |

| That could be a good starting point on the ladder of faith gelynch. Give it a try and you might be amazed where you climb. But then again, each to his own. Keep your mind open, and your number one reason might be a good first step. Those pictures should at least arouse some curiosity in you, and that's where it all begins. |

| and Islam is not for me. I believe in women's rights and intelligent thought and that precludes me from giving serious thought to such a conversion. |

If you think belief in women's rights and intelligent thought preclude you from Islamic thought, you probably have some misconceptions of Islamic thought. I'll leave this to the Muslim women and scientists to explain to you. I'm not really qualified. |

| I can see why a Muslim might remain Muslim, but the idea of converting boggles the imagination. Converting to ANY religion other than Buddhism just defies logic. I would never convert TO the religion I was born into and have seen no religion worth considering other than the one I mentioned before. |

| Perhaps it boggles your imagination and defies your logic. You really should qualify such remarks. I for one have no such struggles with the concept. |
