I'd like to officially thank everyone who has helped me on this thread. I've reworked my CV and covering letter, and thanks to all of you, I am hovering around a 70% response rate.

Great! Thank you!

Dear NAME,

I'm very interested in the position you've advertised for an TITLE position on WEBSITE.

I am a Network+ Certified British citizen who's also an experienced language teacher with 5 years international experience in the classroom, a BA in Writing and Literature, a BA in Visual Art, and a 160 hour in-house TEFL.

I have skills in:

- Lesson planning
- Classroom management
- Cultural adaptability
- Advanced computer skills

Further documentation, such as CRB with Apostille and references are available.

I look forward to engaging your company and learning about your role in education. Please contact me via email or by telephone at PHONE.

Yours sincerely,

MY NAME
-----------------

This letter is too informal and has other errors.

Don't use contractions (I'm, etc) in a formal letter.

"I look forward to engaging your company" is an unusual expression. Stick with "I look forward to hearing from you". It's formulaic language - it's expected. Unusual deviations make you sound a bit eccentric.

"Please contact me by..." is unnecessary - just delete this. But if you really want something like that, "please + verb" is too informal. "I would be grateful if you would..." is formal register.

"Further documentation, such as CRB with Apostille and references are available" should contain a comma before "is available" (not "are", because documentation is an uncountable noun). 'Apostille' does not take a capital letter here, either.

"I'm very interested in..." is likewise unsuitable. Change to "I am writing to apply for...".

Sorry if that comes across as picky, but if you're applying for a job as an English teacher, correct English is essential.
