"disconsolate and disoriented" - very nice pun. A thing of beauty.
When I was a kid I had an uncle who was pun crazy. One had to always watch what they said around him, he liked to take things literally or choose the most improbable of any ambiguous meanings thrown his way.
We had a point system. If you managed to make a particularly brilliant or noxious pun, you got a point. Not lightly awarded. And the pun had to be original. Points could not be solicited, only freely and spontaneously given. I think he would have appreciated 'disconsolate and disoriented'. |
