ElNota, Well if that is what makes you happy but I have a different opinion on this matter. I don't believe that we should just let moonraven beat people over the head with a lot of facts. People like Moonraven are too used to throwing out a lot of facts at people who do not agree with them and they win arguements because it appears to people with less knowledge that people such as Moonraven are correct when they may not be. |

Anytime you come here, Matt, I'll even buy you a Cappuccino. (8.5 Bolivianos!) (I know a great place for coffees)
I still feel,'if only', but we were lucky to get into the play offs last year, as we were grateful to Bran Deane's goal that kept Wigan out. Enjoyed the ride but will miss seeing Palace on Fox Sports.
Anyway, Congratulations, but please stay away from our players!!

Apologies to everyone who doesn't care.
Gambasbo and Matt - you may not have seen this yet. But today WBA offered Earnshaw in exchange for Andy Johnson WITH NO CASH. LOL. That's too funny.
Commiserations Gambasbo, I'll be in Mexico from next month with no access to see Saints in The Championship (Div 2, surely?). |

Even more apologies to people who don't care but from The Guardian's Fiver:
QUOTE OF THE DAY
"The chairman of Southampton contacted me about the manager's job. Who knows what would have happened if I had gone there? Maybe they wouldn't be in the position they find themselves in now" - Portsmouth boss Alain Perrin gives Southampton a good kicking when they're down.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
And i think we offered Earnshaw and 2 million although i personally think Johnson was a 1 season wonder who in reality only scored 9 goals seeing as he got 10 penalties. What a joke and what a complete diver. See

and

for much entertainment at the expense of both your teams' "star" strikers... |

If folks can tear themselves away from soccer madness, they might see that there is a lot in Internet about Bolivia right now, since the neo-liberal, US-backed government has gone down for the count for the second time in a year and a half. Exciting stuff. |

I agree. It's much more interesting than football. I keep expecting the protesters to be labelled as 'insurgents' or even 'terrorists', and US 'advisors' deployed throughout the region. Still, I gather that most of the gas industry at the centre of the scuffle is Brazilian owned - disappointing really, as I'd much rather see a Yank company get cornholed.
My metaphorical money is on Evo being elected on a gas nationalisation platform. With Bolivia following in the Bolivarian footsteps of Venezuela, I wonder how long it will take for the media hacks to start trotting out 'domino effects' and 'election fraud', and labelling Evo as a 'demagogue'. |

Cocahabamba not too bad this week. Some blockades in city centre last week including Monday of this week. Tuesday and Wednesday full blown bus strike. OK this morning but may blow up again this afternoon. Par for the course, really!!
Noticed this morning that the supermarket I go to was running out of red meat and some vegetables.

Aramas: The US has been gunning, LITERALLY (death threats included) for Evo since he was nearly elected president in 2002. They have vilified him in the most heinous terms, have denied him a visa to attend meetings in the US, etc. They will continue their hackneyed strategy on all fronts. |

Facts blow. I like subjective opinion, wishful thinking, hidden agendas, lies and manipulation disguised as facts. But hey, I'm from the U.S. |
