Hmmm...your idea/invite sounded great..before you changed the location.. I am near Kadikoy.. if you plan a get together on the Asian side again, give little more notice and I'd really like to meet y'all.. hehe.. It might actually be cool.. Laughing

Count me in too. And thanks for giving me the whole week to either convince my husband that an evening with a bunch of strangers/foreigners will be fun for him (I plan to talk up how great whynotme is), or to give him a chance to find alternate entertainment...

Bron, that's so funny! My husband also requested I put the word out to invite significant others! You can tell yours mine is coming (he supports Galatasary, if this is important), but with the stipulation that he can leave if he's bored or if anyone tries to teach him anything... Very Happy

Just say the word and I'll bring up dependant relative clauses. That always works.

But then he might think you're teasing him, then he'll get mad and leave. We can be a little over-sensitive about dependent relative clause and the like...

Maybe, but only in an awkward silence when we all run out of things to say.

You also have my permission to bring up reported speech if he starts going off on Kurds.

Amazingly, he doesn't really follow football, but I think his family supports Galatasaray and he used to as well. He was born in Bakırky, lives in Bahelievler, and is a total İstanbul snob! Laughing
