You proudly announced that a Foreign "teacher" must have a BS + 2 years teaching experiences (in a school) to qualify as a Teacher in China.
So how many are they on this forum for instance? (beside Roger) |

So what? Im a motor mechanic and have had 15 years worth of owning and managing my own business talking with customers day in day out handling a huge range of related problems and topics as well as simply talking to a wide base of people from all walks of life. (add another 10 years in factorys and proud of it).
A BS does not give thy articulation, years of talking does. i'd take a 50 year old insurance salesman over a 30 year old BS qualification anyday for this gig.

Teaching in China with 'a degree and 2 years teaching experience' are requisites expected by the Govt.
If they were to ask for a degree relevant to teaching English, and the experience, I wonder how many would come here.
The younger teacher back home, with 2 or a few more years experience, would surely be looking at promotion, better jobs, paying off debts, and settling down to a secure future, and probably would not come to a lower paid job here.
The main number who meet the requirements would be retired or older teachers, on a Sabbatical or something, looking for a different experience in life. People who have enough behind them to be able to travel for a couple of years.
The rest would be ones unable or unwilling to settle in their home country for various reasons.
I imagine if the regs were strictly enforced, there would be a huge shortage of teachers, which is why so many new graduates can get jobs here, and others with enough life experience are welcomed. |

| Mideatoo, for your information: At my university in 2004 we had PhD (Applied Linguistics) with twenty years of language teaching experience. He was an Associatge Professor from an American university on sabbatical. He was paid 4000 per month. |

Wow kevin! Now youve got them jumping up and down with their hands in the air shouting Im this, Im that or Ive got this so Im better than you
Your little post pointed to some problems in the classroom something to do with a breakdown in social relationship between teachers and pupils well the response here rather reflects the situation in the classroom no ability to focus on the topic limited discussion skills and a possible breakdown in the (virtual) social relationships between posters!
What naughty children - bet you wouldnt like to be their teacher would you? |

vikdk, perhaps, at some point, you'll recognize the role you played, and continue to play with your last post, in pulling this thread "off topic".
Quoting you:

I do believe Mideatoo could have been writing "ghost" for you, with this remark. Your superiority has been noted (possibly excepting only your spelling). |
