Jim,
How'd the skiing compare to Canada? |

Well, Japanese run ratings are easier:
Japan ------------- Canada/U.S.
------ ------------- --------------
green circle = bunny hill
red square = green circle
black diamond = blue square
double black diamond = black diamond
sheer, unskiiable, bare cliff face = double black diamond
However, much to my surprise, I waited virtually ZERO lift lineups, and I can only dream of having 3 metres of groomed, packed powder snow back home...
But at least the ease of all the runs made for a very relaxing time, and allowed me to work on my technique. |

With the downhill skiing, did you get to enjoy music and inane announcements too? |

I just ordered one of those shirts an hour ago!
I have never seen anyone wear one though. Can't wait to wear it out in public. |
I routinely wear all my nihongo shirts whenever I visit. Why wear them in Korea, when no on can understand them?
Besides the "Baka Gaijin", I also have "Looking for a Japanese girlfriend" and another with a picture of the apologizing construction guy saying something about "Sorry about the bukkake". Yeah, the last one there gets a lot of second looks. No one's taken me up on the girlfriend shirt, though.
