Some days as a living statue, in the big "fiesta mayor" of various Spanish cities, I raked it in pretty well. Standing on a pedestal all day and half the night is actually a lot of work, but it's not like regular work...

And on one gig as an interpreter in Spain, a large piece of industrial equipment didn't arrive on time. (I was supposed to interpret for the guy who was there to supervise its installation.) But without the equipment, there I was, making 35 euros an hour to sit on my ass. Nice way to spend a couple of weeks, and the coffee was good.

Regards,
Justin

Now that literally is a 'crap' job and one I've done too. I really didn't mind it, I figure it's just recycled grass.Wink Worst would have to be working for Burger King, like someone else commented about the fast food industry I spent about two years smelling like a french fry several times a week. Most cushy job, scrutineer's assistant (watching people vote) one day's work for several day's pay.

In order:

Paperboy
Dishwasher
Detassler (corn field work)
Front kitchen (making sandwiches at the speed of light)
Cafeteria in the dorm
Telefund caller (begging alumni for money)
Painting houses

And these are only the bad jobs. At my tender young age...

What's the Stompin' Tom song?

Tilsonburg - that's where I was. Never heard the song, but very, very true!

My two worst jobs (never to be forgotten!)
Strawberry field picker (I am over 6 feet tall) and strawberry plants are 6 inches high! All the strawberries you could eat of course. Now hardly ever touch them.

Beer bottle washer handler. Everything in a beer bottle plant is automated - EXCEPT for the transfer of the bottles from the crates to the machines. My finger callouses took 4 months to cure. Pay was very good though, and the only plant rule was that you could (physically) see to clock out after your shift. All the free beer you could drink. And then some of the older guys after work went across to the local pub to drink all night (and pay for it)
My friend worked in a chocolate factory. Never touches the stuff now - even after 20 years!
